Driving Fan Engagement Through Live Experiences

Omelette Prevail partnered with Zia Records to create community driven experiences into their stores. From live event activations at Phoenix Fan Fusion to on-site content and podcast storytelling, the campaign blended music, culture, and real time engagement to drive awareness and foot traffic.

Challenge

Zia Records needed to stand out during two key moments, its pop-up presence at Phoenix Fan Fusion and its annual ZiaDayZ celebration. The goal was to bring attention to their pop-up store near the convention and reinforce Zia’s identity as a cultural hub that brings fans together in a physical space.

Strategy

Curate high energy live performances for Zia’s Phoenix Fan Fusion pop-up while producing a podcast episode featuring staff and loyal customers. Highlighting the store’s legacy as a gathering place for music and pop culture fans.

Execution

  • Booked and coordinated nine live performances across three days to anchor Zia’s presence at Phoenix Fan Fusion

  • Introduced a costumed mascot activation (“Drake the Robot” from the band Break the Robot) to attract attention and engage attendees

  • Captured photo and video content for social media use

  • Produced an on-site podcast episode of Creatives Prevail featuring Zia team members and a returning artist guest

Results

  • Delivered multi-format content (video, photo, podcast) extending the campaign’s reach beyond the events

  • Highlighted Zia’s legacy through story-driven content focused on community, culture, and artist support

Impact

By blending live music, personality driven activations, and storytelling, the campaign reinforced the value of physical record stores as spaces where music, culture, and community collide while creating a repeatable model for future in-person activations.

“Lots of labels talk the artist friendly walk, but 80/20 [Omelette Prevail] actually walks the walk. The team’s knack for spotting, nurturing, and cultivating local talent puts them among the very best Phoenix has to offer.” - Jason Woodbury (Marketing of Zia Records)
